Mesothelioma cancer is one of the dreadful diseases among all the cancers. Though it is the rarest among all the cancer but the increasing numbers of Mesothelioma cases cannot be neglected. It affects the stomach, lung, chest cavity and the other internal vital organs. One of the most common types of mesothelioma cancer is pleural mesothelioma which affects badly the internal portions of chest and lungs.
This cancer consists of four stages. If the disease is identified in the early two stages then treatment can be done but once the situation gets out of control its treatment is ver complicated and painful. Also after the second stage life expectancy of the patient decreases. Before cancer a tumor develops inside the body. it consist of two type: benign and malignant. This malignant tumor in the mesothelium is called Malignant Mesothelioma.
The common symptoms of this disease are cough, weight loss, chest pain and breadth due to pleural effusion. Though the symptoms are very common but it is very tough to detect the symptoms. Its diagnosis can be done by chest x-ray report and checking the lungs and the cancer is detected then immediate action must be taken to control it. It can be treated by radiation, surgery and chemotherapy.
The main reason behind the occurrence of Mesothelioma cancer is due to the excessive exposure of asbestos. People who are working in the construction company and in the profession of plumber, electrician, textile workers and shipyard workers are in great danger. The inhalation of dust particles asbestos infects the mesothelial cells of internal organ.
